David Woodfield

David has worked in the financial services industry for 15 years, but nearly always as something of an outsider. After starting out as an external consultant working for a range of banks, insurers and the FCA, David moved to build a new insurance business that reinvented pet and travel cover to be clearer, fairer and easier for customers. Now he’s looking to do the same for small business owners and their insurance at Bionic. 

Having the experience and knowledge of the financial services industry, combined with a belief that it can and should be fairer and clearer for customers, means David gets great satisfaction from demystifying the industry’s complexity, jargon and challenges to make them completely straightforward for the UK’s SME owners and operators. 

In his spare time, you would find David with his young family, trying to cycle up hills quickly and spending time on all things mechanical and practical.
